Edmonton Oilers Defeat Dallas Stars

Oilers Advance to Stanley Cup Final

The Edmonton Oilers clinched a spot in the Stanley Cup Final after defeating the Dallas Stars 2-1 in Game 7 of their Western Conference Final series. The Oilers rallied with five straight goals in the second and third periods to overcome an early 1-0 deficit and secure their first berth in the Stanley Cup Final since 2006.

The Oilers were led by forward Connor McDavid, who scored a goal and added two assists. Leon Draisaitl, Evan Bouchard, Zach Hyman, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also contributed goals for Edmonton.

The Stars grabbed an early lead thanks to a goal by Joe Pavelski in the first period. However, the Oilers quickly responded as McDavid scored just 2:28 into the second period to tie the game. Draisaitl then gave the Oilers the lead 5:24 into the third period, and the Oilers never looked back.

Mike Smith made 29 saves to earn the win for the Oilers. Jake Oettinger made 35 saves for the Stars.

The Oilers will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15th in Denver.
